Pharmacy Assistant

Pharmacy assistants are responsible for assisting licensed pharmacists with various administrative duties within pharmacies. Generally, these assistants work hours which are commensurate with the hours of the pharmacy, which may include overnight or weekend shifts on occasion.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

There are no set entry requirements to become a pharmacy assistant. Employers usually expect good literacy, numeracy and IT skills. They may ask for GCSEs or equivalent qualifications. Employers often ask for relevant work experience.
